What is Standard Form

Standard class is a way of writing a number so information technology is easier to read. It is oftentimes used for very big or very pocket-sized numbers. Standard form is similar scientific note and is typically used in science and applied science.

A number is written in standard form when it is represented as a decimal number times a power of ten.

How to Convert to Standard Class

Standard grade is like scientific note where a number is represented as a decimal number times a ability of ten. Standard form format is:

Where

a is a number whose absolute value is a decimal number greater than or equal to one, and less than ten: \[ one \le \left\lvert a \right\rvert \lt 10 \]
b is an integer and is the power of 10 required so that the production of the multiplication in standard form equals the original number

Note that we do not remove the abaft 0 because it was originally to the right of the decimal and is therefore a significant figure.
